Privacy Policy
Last updated October 26, 2026
In shortFalcon Launcher works on your device. Your app list, settings, and layout stay on your device. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not read your messages, calls, or personal files.
This Privacy Policy explains how Falcon Launcher (“Falcon Launcher”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use our Android home screen application (the “App”). We built Falcon Launcher to be fast, minimal, and respectful of your privacy. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information we handle
Information that stays on your device
To work as a home screen, Falcon Launcher needs to read and display information stored on your device. This information is processed locally and is not sent to our servers:
- Installed apps: names, icons, and package names, so we can show your app list, app drawer, and search results.
- Falcon Launcher settings and layout: your wallpaper choice, icon packs, home screen arrangement, hidden apps, folders, gestures, themes, and other preferences.
- Usage data on the device: information such as recently opened or frequently used apps, if you enable features that rely on it (for example, suggested apps).
- Notification badge data: if you enable notification dots or badges, Falcon Launcher reads the count or presence of notifications to display a dot. We do not read, store, or transmit the content of your notifications.
Information we may collect automatically
If you choose to share diagnostics, or where the App includes crash reporting, we may receive limited technical information such as device model, operating system version, App version, language, and anonymous crash logs. This helps us find and fix bugs. This data is not used to identify you personally.
Information you give us
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the content of your message, and we use it only to respond to you.
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect your name, phone number, or home address through the App.
- We do not read your SMS messages, call logs, emails, photos, or personal files.
- We do not collect precise location data.
- We do not require you to create an account.
2. Permissions
Falcon Launcher may request the permissions below. Each one is used only for the purpose described, and optional permissions can be declined without stopping the rest of the App from working.
- Query installed apps: required to display and launch the apps on your device.
- Notification access (optional): used only to show notification dots or badges on app icons.
- Usage access (optional): used only to power features such as recent or suggested apps.
- Accessibility service (optional): used only for features you turn on, such as double-tap to lock the screen. We do not use it to read screen content or collect personal data.
- Storage or media access (optional): used only to let you choose a wallpaper or icon pack, and to back up or restore your settings.
- Contacts (optional): used only if you enable contact search in the app drawer. Contact information is searched locally and is never uploaded.
- Set as default home app: required for Falcon Launcher to act as your home screen.
- Internet access: used for crash reporting, update checks, or features that load online content, where available.
3. How we use information
We use information only to:
- Provide, operate, and personalize the App and its features;
- Remember your settings and layout;
- Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve performance and stability;
- Respond to your questions and support requests;
- Protect against misuse, fraud, and security issues; and
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information for profiling, and we do not sell it.
4. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share limited information only in these situations:
- Service providers: trusted third parties that help us run the App, such as crash-reporting or analytics tools. They may process data only on our instructions and for the purposes described in this policy.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, legal process, or a valid request from a public authority, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users, the public, or Falcon Launcher.
- Business changes: if Falcon Launcher is involved in a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets, information may be transferred, and we will let you know if your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services (for example, the Google Play Store). Those third parties have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
5. Storage and retention
Settings and preferences are stored locally on your device and remain until you clear the App’s data or uninstall it. If you create a backup file, it is saved where you choose and is under your control. Any diagnostic data we receive is kept only as long as needed to resolve the issue it relates to, and then deleted or anonymized. Emails sent to us are kept as long as necessary to respond and to meet legal obligations.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Because most data stays on your device, its security also depends on your device’s protections, such as a screen lock and up-to-date software. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
- Control permissions: you can grant or revoke any permission at any time in your device’s system settings.
- Delete your data: clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling Falcon Launcher removes all locally stored settings and layout data.
- Diagnostics: where an option to disable crash or diagnostic reporting is provided, you can turn it off in the App’s settings.
- Access, correction, and deletion requests: depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the European Economic Area and the UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email donnainfotech@yahoo.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first.
- Do not sell: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. Children’s privacy
Falcon Launcher is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us at donnainfotech@yahoo.com and we will delete it promptly.
9. International users
If we process any information outside your country of residence, for example through service providers, we take steps to ensure it is handled in line with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide additional notice such as an in-app message or a note in the App’s store listing. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
11. Contact us
If you have questions, concerns, or requests about this Privacy Policy or your information, please email us at donnainfotech@yahoo.com.
